Courses in the 2 Year Recreation & Leisure Services program at Humber are preparing students to work in a variety of recreation and sport related facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Students have the opportunity to apply what they are learning in recreation theory classes to the many practical events they organize or attend.
Valuable work experience is incorporated through the mandatory internship in in a municipal or commercial recreation facility, sport organization, not for profit service club or outdoor recreation organization. The work placement takes place in the fourth semester and is over 300 hours.

Students who meet the eligibility requirements wil have the opportunity to transfer into a DEGREE IN RECREATION & LEISURE SERVICES with the University of Waterloo or Brock University.
Graduates will acquire knowledge to prepare them for careers in program delivery, community recreation planning, special events operation, and sports administration.
